Surface Area to Volume Ratio


When it comes to surface area for a given volume of anything, nanoparticles beat larger particles hands down! A key to absorbing more oil is  the surface area to volume ratio.  For any given amount of material the more surface area you have the more easily, quickly or faster the material can react. That’s why nanoscale products work so well. Imagine what that means when you get to the nanoscale!
