Fun with Chemistry Inventions camp

Daily themes include:
• heat and temperature
• batteries
• nanotechnology
• presentations by groups of original invention ideas

Campers learn how basic chemistry principles are applied to our daily lives through a variety of inventions. They work in a real chemistry lab and explore several different invention themes, while brainstorming a new invention idea with members of their group. All experiments and activities are aligned with the National Science Education Standards for 5th-8th grades.

For 2008, this theme will be offered 7/21–7/25.

Each session of chemistry camp runs Monday-Friday, 1:15-4:30 PM. Enrollment cost is $130/child. Contact Jenny Powell at 608-262-1511 for more information.
